I wonder where...

Where will the US be in five years? Ten years?

We are finially behind the curve on a few technologies. The gap widens everyday. We seem less interested in engineering and science than we used to be. Children don't aspire to be engineers these days.

Cassini was exciting. The Mars landers were exciting. Perhaps these recent events will help generate some excitement?

I'd like to have something to work on in a few years. Young potential engineers need projects to get excited about. We need to draw more people into the "fold."

What type of economy will the US be in five years. Outsourcing won't be THAT big will it? I know the hype is out there, but could it be real? Hype is usually just that, the media full of itself trying to make up a story. It would be nice to have a job in five years. What is the next thing?

Don't you wish you had a cyrstal ball sometimes? Just so you could position yourself to be ready for the future, instead of all this guess work.

Same old questions -- same old answers...
