Lockheed Martin's JASSM Returns To Flight With Successful Test

Lockheed Martin [LMT] last week resumed flight-testing after two failures last year of its Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM).

In last week's test, the missile was successfully launched from an F-16 and navigated through eight wave points, struck a target and detonated, according to a company official.

This is the first flight test of JASSM since testing was halted after flight failures in June and July 2004, Mike Inderhees, JASSM program director, told reporters in a conference call.
