Lockheed Martin [LMT]'s Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) had two successful launches Tuesday at White Sands Missile Range, N.M., according to the Air Force.

"Both missiles successfully separated from the F-16 aircraft, had nominal flights, and impacted the targets as planned. Further analysis is required to score the shot accuracy but indications are all impact parameters were nominal," according to the Air Force.

"There are five more JASSM flight tests scheduled between now and the end of this year. JASSM continues to be a critical weapon for the Air Force, with the fourth production buy/lot of 288 missiles under contract towards a total of 4,900 rounds through at least 2018," according to a Lockheed Martin spokeswoman.

The House provided $2 million in its version of the FY '06 Defense Appropriations Bill to terminate the JASSM program. The administration had sought $150 million to continue development of the missile.
I thought congress killed this program... I guess not.
