Lockheed Martin Corp.'s second-quarter profit jumped 56% on a strong performance by its electronics and information-technology units, and the U.S.'s biggest defense contractor as measured by revenue raised its earnings outlook for the year.
Somebody is starting to make some money.

Net sales rose 5.9% to $9.3 billion from $8.78 billion, as demand for information-technology services from the Defense Department, as well as intelligence and civilian government agencies, offset what the company said was a predicted decline in sales of military aircraft.
But it looks like it is not from jet aircraft. Is anybody making money on building things anymore?
