Concerned about extensive technical problems and multibillion-dollar cost overruns on a spy-satellite program run by Boeing Co., U.S. intelligence agencies have decided to shift a big chunk of the work to rival Lockheed Martin Corp., according to industry and government officials.
I guess Boeing lost the work. I have to wonder how bad they really could have done, and can Lockheed really do better? Sometimes this type of stuff is very political. These two companies are pretty even in capabilities on the defense side of things. Afterall it really is just about the people. None of these companies write anything down, its all tribal knowledge. This is a failing of today's working world.
